Ja-Ru Hosts Dreamers Day
On August 4th, 2022, Ja-Ru hosted Dreamers Day to support Dreams Come True!
Ja-Ru hosted several “Dreamers” from Dreams Come True to experience the excitement and energy of running a toy company. The Dreamers, along with some brothers and sisters, made their own slime, saw a warehouse equipment parade, dressed up as their favorite super hero and participated in a scavenger hunt. As a final present, the kids were given toy sacks to fill in Ja-Ru’s own toy shop. Ja-Ru employees dressed as their favorite Disney and Marvel characters keeping with the theme of the event.
Ja-Ru also suprised Axel, a local Dreams Come True “Dreamer”, with an announcement on his Dream – an all expenses paid vacation to Disney World. Axel is a 5 year old cancer survivor, who Ja-Ru employees adopted and raised money to support his dream. Over the past year, Ja-Ru employees have participated in several events to collect funds – including company events, raffles, as well as sponsoring a team in the annual Dreams Come True 5k walk/Run. After the announcement, Axel and his brother Aaron then spent the day with other Dreamers in Ja-Ru’s “toy factory”.
